Government announced additional drought assistance measures for
irrigators, dry land farmers and small businesses severely affected
by the drought.

Changes to legislation now recognise
that small businesses in rural communities with a population fewer
than 10,000 people, have been affected by drought. These businesses
are now eligible to apply for financial assistance.
