Art Bikes

Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking submissions from experienced artists and community groups to be part of a new collection of artwork installations to be displayed in various locations.

Art Bikes is the creative initiative to coincide with the BMX Australia National Championships in May 2019 and BMX Supercross World Cup in 2020, both hosted in Greater Shepparton.

BMX bikes will be provided by Council and artists can propose artwork which best demonstrates creative practice, talent and skill to provide a unique street art installation.

The project is part of Council’s initiative to support artist and community groups in delivering a range of creative public art. It's an opportunity to contribute and create something vibrant for the community whilst supporting a major event.

Council is always exploring more ways to promote local artists, and this is a great platform to have your work admired by residents and the thousands of visitors the BMX events will bring with them.

For further information, download the Expression of Interest document below. Submissions must be lodged by 9.00am on Monday 25 March 2019 and addressed to Tourism Projects Officer, Sharlene Putman sharlene.putman@shepparton.vic.gov.au or you can drop them into the Greater Shepparton City Council offices at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.
