Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021

Greater Shepparton City Council is committed to creating a community where residents feel safe, secure, and are proactive. Council is now asking for your feedback on the Draft Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021.

The Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021 has been developed to build upon the partnerships and initiatives of previous years and address emerging issues identified by stakeholders and the community. Current data and statistics have been used to inform priority areas and inform the strategies employed to improve actual and perceived safety in the community.

The Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021 marks the third iteration of Council strategy with a focus on improving community safety within the Greater Shepparton municipality.

A copy of the Community Safety Strategy 2018-2021 (Draft), may be inspected at or obtained from the Council’s Municipal Offices at 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton between 8:15am and 5:00 pm Monday to Friday, or downloaded from the link below.

Give us your feedback

Council is inviting the public to inspect the Draft Strategy and make a formal submission.

Submissions must be made in writing, giving the submitter’s name and contact address, clearly stating the grounds on which the Draft Report is supported or opposed and indicating what changes (if any) the submitter wishes to make.

A submission should be posted to Greater Shepparton City Council, Locked Bag 1000, Shepparton VIC 3632 or sent via the feedback from below, and the closing date for submissions is 5.00pm on Monday 5 February 2018.
