Stage 3

The third stage between Graham Street and Elm Terrace commenced late February and will take approximately five months to complete, dependent on weather.

Stage three works – February to June 2017

The stage three redevelopment civil works will be carried out by Jarvis Delahey Contractors, with the realignment of Goulburn Valley Water main to be carried out by NL Drainage.

The works include:

  • relocate and upgrade water main
  • new underground drainage
  • road pavement construction
  • hotmix asphalt
  • concrete kerb works
  • concrete shared paths
  • line-marking; and
  • road furniture and signage

Traffic Management

Verney Road from Balaclava Road to Graham Street will be closed to south bound traffic as the pavement works commence from Tuesday 14 March 2017. The proposed detour for smaller vehicles will be through Bourchier Street while large vehicles will flow via Goulburn Valley Highway.

All streets exiting on Verney Road from eastside will be closed and diverted to the Birch Street exit. The only exceptions will be Clarke Court, Crestwood Grove and Ivanhoe Court, which will be allowed in and out access.

The works will cause a temporary inconvenience in the area and we ask for the community’s compliance with all traffic management signage.

The reconstruction works are programmed to be completed by the end of June 2017.
