Victoria Park Lake Toilets

Greater Shepparton City Council will build a new toilet facility at the Northern end of Victoria Park Lake to create a universally accessible toilet facility.

The project will include:

  • 4x Male toilets and 2x urinals
  • 5x Female toilets
  • 3x Unisex toilets/ All gender accessible toilets with baby change facilities

What works will occur?

A new toilet block will be built to include 5x female toilets, 4x male toilets with urinals, 2x unisex toilets and baby change facilities.

The new playground will have a few different areas to allow various age groups of children to play. Play areas for different age groups from 0-5 years, 5+ and teenagers

When will work start and how long will it take?

Works on the toilets will begin in July 2018 and should be completed by the end of 2018.  Whilst there can always be issues beyond our control that may delays works such as inclement weather we are working closely with the contractor to ensure the works are completed on schedule.

What will happen to the old toilet block?

The toilet block will be removed; the new toilet block will replace this toilet block in the new location. The area will be turfed creating another open space area.

Will residents still be able to access the walking track and other facilities at the North End?

The walking path will remain open, however during the work some access will be via temporary arrangements. Pedestrian access will be provided during the works; however access will alter as the works progress.

Will there be breastfeeding facilities and adult change rooms in the new toilet block?

New breastfeeding and adult change room facilities will be available in the new SAM building.

Who will be undertaking the works?

Crow Constructions successfully tendered to undertake the works.

Will parking still be available?

Parking is available all around Victoria Park Lake. The small cark park on the North End on the Western side near Tom Collins Drive will be closed during construction to allow the contractor access. However, parking will still be available in Tom Collins Drive.
