There are a number of public halls and community centres in the Greater Shepparton region available for hire.

Byrneside Public Hall

A 110 year old solid brick building in execellent condition.  The hall has floor for dancing, Piano, Stage, Supper Room, stove, hotwater, fridge, urn, crockery, cutlery all suitable for hire.

The hall is situated on the Midland Highway, Byrneside.

Hire of Hall Fees

Bond Deposit                    $100.00 - will be refunded fully if no damage

Hire of Hall                        $70.00

Insurance                         $30.00

Hire of Crockery & Cutlery   $25.00

Use of Gas Heater              $20.00

All rubbish to be removed from the hall by the Hirer after the function

No decorations or balloons are to be attached to the overhead fans

Hire of Supper Room          $20.00

Hire of Supper Hall             $25.00

Dhurringile Community Centre

The Community Centre is located on Langham Road, Dhurringile.  The building is avaliable for hire for weddings, parties, meetings and sporting events.  The kitchen is fully equiped with cutlery, glasses, tables and chairs for 100 people but the building can accommodate 180 people.  Heating is no problem at the venue, with gas providing warmth for all attendees.

The facility has indoor badminton court, 4 tennis courts, indoor volleyball court and lighting to accomodate sporting events, changreooms, toilets and showers.  There is a large car park to the east of the building.

Dookie Memorial Hall

This venue is located in Mary Street, Dookie.  The hall was established in 1896 and can cater for a dances, disco's, weddings and birthdays, there is a supper room and separate kitchen, tables and chairs are provided.  There is a large child proof fence play area, gas heating and an evaporative cooling system.

Karrmomus Hall

This venue is located on Karramomus Road, Karramomus.  This well presented quiet reserve hosts a hall built by the Beals over 40 years ago, great dance floor, disable ramps to toilets.  The reserve comprises of two tennis courts with a pavilion equipped with kitchen facilities, shade around the pavilion and a BBQ is available upon request.  This reserve can be used for family reunions, party's or sporting events.

This reserve is located 20 minutes from Shepparton.

Kialla Central Hall

This venue is located on Kialla Central Road, Kialla.  The hall offers a large kitchen facility and serving area with a large stage and piano.  The hall can be used for birthdays, concerts, school productions and large social functions and provides tressel and round tables including seating.

The facility also boasts 4 tennis courts and clubrooms including two seperate toilets and 2 junior size netball courts.

Mooroopna Mechanics Hall and MG O'Brien Hall

This venue has two halls suitable for social functions, group bookings, indoor bowls and exhibitions.  It is located in the main street of Mooroopna, McLennan Street.  The Mechanics Hall can accomodate up to 200 people and the O'Brien Hall can accomodate 80 people, both facilities have clean, neat toilets and kitchen facilities.  For more information or bookings please contact Mrs Margaret Jacobson on 5825 2483.

Tallygaroopna Memorial Hall

This local hall has a good dance floor and can accomodate between 100-200 people for a dance, meeting, weeding, etc.  Has a supper hall which provides chairs and tressel tables for functions.  The Hall is located in the main street of Tallygaroopna, Victoria Street and the site has great car parking, good toilet facilities and an adjoining park with playground area.  For more information please contact Mr John Wallace on (AH) 5829 8335.
