Ardmona Transfer Station

Domestic waste accepted with provision for the separate collection of glass, cardboard and paper. Steel, car batteries, gas bottles, silage wrap and motor oil are also separately accepted. Green organics recycling is also available.Large commercial loads may be directed to Cosgrove.

Saturday 8.00 am - 4.30 pm

All charges include GST and levies.

Recyclables accepted

Recyclables accepted free of charge (domestic quantities only):

• Car bodies
• Oil (containers under 20L)
• Paper and cardboard
• Glass bottles and jars
• Car batteries
• Empty oil containers (up to 20L plastic containers)
• Silage Wrap

Recyclables which are charged for:

• Heavy and light steel
• Tyres
• Plasterboard 
• Whitegoods (Fridges should be degassed and certified prior to disposal)
• Garden Organics ($16 per cubic metre, but an equivalent volume of mulch can be taken free of charge)
• Mulch can be purchased for $6.00 per cubic metre
• Cardboard

WEEE - E-Waste recycling

Greater Shepparton City Council is now able to offer residents and businesses a Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) recycling service.

WEEE or e-waste includes all home entertainment components, including TVs and DVD players, computer equipment, including monitors and printers, office electronics and most items that can be plugged in and switched on.

White goods are not included in this waste category.

Oil Recycling at Ardmona Transfer Station

We accept:

• Engine, gearbox, crankcase, hydraulic and sump oils

We do not accept:

• Tallows or fats (cooking oils)
• Anything with a flash point below 63 º Celsius (metho, kero etc.)
• Flammables
• Cutting oils (Oil from householders only – no container may be over 20L)
