Fred Smith One Night Only

An evening with Fred Smith is not just a night of music. Fred will take you on a journey to Afghanistan, sketching a musical picture of his time in Afghanistan writing and developing his songs with Australian and Afghani musicians.

Through the photos accompanying his songs, experience driving through Afghani villages, sitting cross legged drinking chai with local leaders and going on patrol from the Australian base at Tarin Kot.

Fred's songs range from capturing the grief of fallen soldiers in 'A Sapper's Lullaby' to the mournful yearning of a young woman forced to leave her loved ones behind in Kabul in 'Trembling Sky'.
