Story Time provides children and their caregivers an opportunity to share and experience the joy of reading.

Every Monday and Friday at 10.30am (including school holidays).

GV Libraries offer story times and activities for young children. Coming along to these sessions is a great way to help your child become familiar with the library, have fun and enjoy books and stories.

You can start reading aloud to your child as early as you like – the earlier the better. Your baby will love being held in your arms, listening to your voice, hearing rhyme and rhythm, and looking at pictures.

Singing songs and saying rhymes together are also great, especially if your child enjoys these activities more than reading.

Reading aloud and sharing stories with your child is a great way to spend time together. Reading and storytelling also helps promote language, literacy and brain development.
