Local 2016 Census job opportunities – apply today!

The Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) is looking for motivated, community-minded project managers to fill up to 608 Area Supervisor positions across the state, including here in Greater Shepparton.

These are temporary, casual positions with flexible hours.

Working on the Census is a great way to contribute to your community. The data you help to collect provides an important statistical snapshot that supports planning, policy and funding decisions for a range of local services and infrastructure – from health and education to housing and transport.

Area Supervisors will recruit, train, lead and supervise a small team of temporary field staff to deliver a successful Census result in their area. The roles and responsibilities of field staff will reflect the 2016 Census digital-first approach, so if you are tech-savvy and a great communicator, the ABS wants to hear from you.

Apply today at www.abs.gov.au/careers and make a difference in your community and help shape its future.
