Beach Volleyball needs volunteers

FIVB Beach Volleyball will be played from Thursday, 1 February until Sunday, 4 February at Victoria Park Lake and need 20 volunteers per day for either front of house or operations roles.

Volunteers for front of house will include ticket sales and access control while the operational volunteers will assist Volleyball Australia staff with event maintenance over the four days, as well as on court ball retrievers and rakers.

Two temporary purpose-built courts and a warm-up court will be constructed, and a 500-seat grandstand will be erected at the Victoria Park Lake precinct. The event will see teams competing from 32 countries, with national and international TV and media exposure for Greater Shepparton. Top players from Australia, Canada, Germany, Japan, Sweden, United States, New Zealand, Italy and Austria will be in attendance.

In conjunction with the World Tour there will be a Food Truck Festival from the Thursday 5pm through to 9pm Sunday, making the international sporting event even more special for visitors to Greater Shepparton.

The Beach Carnival will have food trucks, bars, live music, and free and low cost activities at Victoria Park Lake. Greater Shepparton City Council is partnering with Food Truck Carnival Co to deliver this event.
