Country Women's Association state conference held in Shepparton drives the economy

The annual State Conference of the Country Women's Association of Victoria Inc will be held in Greater Shepparton at Riverlinks Eastbank from Thursday 25 – Saturday 27 May contributing an estimated $432,816 into the local economy.

The three day conference is held in a different location around Victoria each year. The event will include speakers from various political parties, organisations, presentation of awards and resolutions from the members.

Delegates will enjoy a coordinated CBD shopping trip in the CBD on Thursday morning which will allow visitors to experience some of the many great things Shepparton has to offer.

The expected outcomes of the conference include political lobbying on various issues affecting women, children and our communities, improved knowledge of the Association by the members and also the greater community and a large inflow of revenue for the Greater Shepparton businesses.

The conference will attract well over 400 visitors from right around Victoria each day over the three days. This will help fill up the accommodation houses, pack out our hospitality offerings and tourism attractions helping keep local businesses busy and our economy strong.

Holding large business events and conferences such as this helps further cement Greater Shepparton’s reputation as a major events hub in regional Victoria.

The conference is for members of the Association and there will surely be many opportunities for interaction between Greater Shepparton community and the visiting members.
