Grants allocated to local groups

At Greater Shepparton City Council’s Ordinary Council Meeting on Tuesday, a number of grants funding were approved to be distributed to community groups and committees for various projects.

The grants programs allocated include Our Sporting Future Funding Round 1 – 2017/2018, Greater Shepparton Greater Health Grants – Round One 2017/2018, Community Arts Grants Round One 2017/2018, Community Matching Grant Scheme – Round One 2017/2018, Australia Day Grants 2017, Minor and Major Events Grants Round One – 2017/2018 and Festive Events Grants 2017.

Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Dinny Adem was pleased these grants allocations were adopted offering financial support to our community.

“It’s a fantastic opportunity for community groups and committees to apply for funding for various projects and initiatives, including upgrades to facilities, programs to benefit our residents, community celebrations including Australia Day and more.

“Grants funding must be applied for, with application panels reviewing whether the application meets the criteria for funding. I encourage community groups and committees to take up the opportunity for this funding when these grants are open,” said Cr Adem.
