Greater Shepparton cycling guide now available

A guide to the best cycling routes in Greater Shepparton has been released by Greater Shepparton City Council.

The Greater Shepparton Cycling Guide includes information on the Yanha Gurtji shared path network, cycling safety, parks and reserves, mountain bike trails, rail trails, cycling events and contact details for cycling clubs.

The booklet also includes details on 20 cycling routes with maps ranging from 20km to 80km.

Greater Shepparton Mayor Kim O’Keeffe said “there are a number of fantastic cycling routes throughout the municipality.

“Greater Shepparton offers cycling enthusiasts of all levels of ability and fitness a variety of paths and routes to ride,” Cr O’Keeffe said.

“Cycle tourism is a growing visitor economy sector and we hope this innovative guide will increase visitation to help keep local businesses busy and the economy strong”.

“Cycling is a fantastic way to enjoy the outdoors and stay fit and it continues to grow in popularity. The booklet forms part of Greater Shepparton City Council Cycling Strategy 2013-2017. We would like to thank our supporters and our partners, to enable this cycling guide to come to fruition.”
