Greater Shepparton residents invited for a stroll

Greater Shepparton City Council invites residents to walk, ride, run or scoot their way to Kidstown as part of the Twilight Stroll on Friday, 29 March at 5.30pm.

Twilight Stroll encourages people to get outside and be active before settling into a relaxing afternoon of fun and entertainment.

Depending on your preference, the stroll can start from either the Chinaman’s Gardens in Mooroopna or the bridge behind Aquamoves and concludes for everyone at Kidstown.

Council Manager Active Living David Booth said once participants make it to Kidstown, there will be a number of activities waiting for them.

“There will be free entertainment including live music and a barbeque dinner,” Mr Booth said.

“Party Time Jumping Castles, Elite Events, Enchanted Rainbow and Aquamoves will also provide their own entertainment for the children.

“The Twilight Stroll is a great way to get the children outside and enjoy a night of socialising.”

Once the activities have wrapped up at 8pm, participants are encouraged to take the stroll back to either Chinaman’s Gardens or Aquamoves. However, a shuttle bus is available if their legs are starting to tire.

Registrations are taken at either the gardens or the bridge before the walk begins.

Twilight Stroll is part of Council’s Activities in the Park program, which provides an opportunity for Greater Shepparton residents and visitors to participate in free and low cost activities outdoors in the many parks, pools and playgrounds.
