Nurture Nature Summer holiday activity

Learn about critters of all sizes and local Aboriginal culture during a two hour program of activities on Tuesday 23 January. Get up close and personal with a live snake and reptile roaming exhibit, learn local Yorta Yorta language, discover Aboriginal artefacts and Yorta Yorta culture, find and identify land and water bugs, and more!

The event is a partnership between RiverConnect including Greater Shepparton City Council and Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority, Goulburn Murray Landcare Network, Yorta Yorta Nation Aboriginal Corporation, Goulburn Valley Water, and Parks Victoria.

The activities are designed to provide fun and educational environmental full of cultural activities, the partnership hopes to inspire people to nurture nature in their local area, learning more about Aboriginal culture and the great outdoors on our backdoor.

Make sure you bring a picnic and finish the morning with a relaxing early lunch in the shade of the Peppercorn Trees. This is a great activity for the whole family to enjoy these school holidays. Children must be accompanied by an adult for only a Gold coin entry for KidsTown.
