WORKS UPDATE: Shepparton Sports Precinct

Before the end of the year, the Shepparton Sports Precinct main soccer field got a bit of a spruce up to improve drainage.

Council has just put a sand slitter through the McEwen main field adding 60 cubic metres of free draining sand in the slits to promote drainage from the centre of the field to the outside of the field.

This will improve playing conditions especially during the winter months to help alleviate excess water from rain events.

Council Manager Parks, Sport and Recreation, Heath Chasemore says the works will improve drainage so the ground doesn’t hold as much water as it did this winter.
