We are centrally located in the heart of Shepparton offering Long Day Care, Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten and a Maternal and Child Health Centre.
We engage in our local community, through routine and planned excursions. Our location ensures our outings are regular and spontaneous supporting our children’s knowledge and understanding of their world. We also liaise closely with Nancy Vibert Children’s Centre as we support our Kindergarten families with the option of a walking bus.
Our educators are highly skilled, qualified and passionate in providing an inclusive and welcoming environment. Our programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework and we support and encourage children through play based learning experiences.
Each child’s learning and developmental journey is documented and families are engaged and involved throughout this process. We offer flexible routines, with indoor/outdoor experiences where children’s interests are at the forefront of our educational programs.
Our closed Facebook Group enables families to connect and engage with each other as well as with what is happening at our Centre. We also share centre highlights, special events, reminders for celebrations, excursions and fundraising events. Once families are enrolled access to the closed page can be requested.
We believe that communication is the most important tool we have in building strong relationships with families. To further enhance our communication we use the FlexiBuzz app. This app is free for families to download on their smartphones and devices. Notifications of our news, messages, events and other communications will be shared using this app.
We believe in working collaboratively with our team, families, and community to provide an inclusive and welcoming environment that builds and maintains respectful, trusting and positive relationships to support and encourage children through play based learning experiences forming strong foundations for lifelong learning. We are committed to teaching children about the natural environment and the importance of sustainability. We will promote the use of natural resources and sustainable practices within our programs.

Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre (ADCC) was officially opened in 1976 and was named after a local Doctor; Arthur Dickmann. It remains in the same location and after extensive renovations over the years has grown to facilitate the education and learning of 99 children.
Our Centre also supports a separate 4-year-old Kindergarten program for 50 children as well as 3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten.
We enjoy regular excursions out and about in our community and our two six-seater prams ensures this is possible for our younger children to take part in the rich education and learning experiences.
Approximately 150 families are supported throughout the week between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm.
Our handbook contains all the information parents need to know when bringing their children to Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre.
Our Kindergarten and Pre-Kindergarten Program Booklet contains information for families of our Kindergarten children.
