We are centrally located in the heart of Shepparton offering Long Day Care, Kindergarten, Pre-Kindergarten and a Maternal and Child Health Centre.
We engage in our local community, through routine and planned excursions. Our location ensures our outings are regular and spontaneous supporting our children’s knowledge and understanding of their world.
Our educators are highly skilled, qualified and passionate in providing an inclusive and welcoming environment. Our programs are based on the Early Years Learning Framework and we support and encourage children through play based learning experiences.
Each child’s learning and developmental journey is documented and families are engaged and involved throughout this process. We offer flexible routines, with indoor/outdoor experiences where children’s interests are at the forefront of our educational programs.
Our Centre supports a separate 4-year-old Kindergarten program for 50 children as well as 3-year-old Pre-Kindergarten.
We enjoy regular excursions out and about in our community and our two six-seater prams ensures this is possible for our younger children to take part in the rich education and learning experiences.
Approximately 150 families are supported throughout the week between the hours of 7:30am-6:00pm.
This service has been rated as "Exceeding" the National Quality Standards of the Australian Children's Education & Care Quality Authority.
Our closed Facebook Group enables families to connect and engage with each other as well as with what is happening at our Centre. We also share centre highlights, special events, reminders for celebrations, excursions and fundraising events. Once families are enrolled access to the closed page can be requested.

Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre (ADCC) was officially opened in 1976 and was named after a local Doctor; Arthur Dickmann. It remains in the same location and after extensive renovations over the years has grown to facilitate the education and learning of 99 children.
We believe in providing an inclusive and welcoming environment that values the child’s voice. We provide play based learning experiences which supports children to develop an understanding and respect for themselves, their community, the natural environment and sustainable practices. Our programs and practices have a strong focus on community, reconciliation, sustainability and Auslan.
Our handbook contains all the information parents need to know when bringing their children to Arthur Dickmann Children’s Centre.
