Mooroopna Children and Families Centre (MCFC), was funded by the Department of Education and training which part of the Shepparton Education Plan. It is the only integrated school and early years setting in the Goulburn Valley which accommodates both students and the wider community to promote well-being and community engagement.
Our priorities are to make sure there is a consistent approach to children’s learning as they move from early learning through to school. We have worked in partnership with our community to provide services that will support the needs of our children, such as Maternal Child Health Nurse, Paediatrician, Play Therapist and are privileged to partner with Our Place. MCFC works in partnership with Our Place to encouraged strong partnerships with our families and the community.
We support learning through play and use appropriate intentional teaching methods in our activities and experiences. This allows the children to explore, discover, negotiate, take risks and solve problems which will enable them to develop strong foundations for lifelong learning.
MCFC is committed to implementing all elements and standards of the National Quality Frameworks & the Early Years Learning Framework within the learning environments. Our educators are constantly working to achieve the National Quality Standards to improve quality and meet the guiding principles of the National Quality Framework. These principles are:
Our closed Facebook Group enables families to connect and engage with each other as well as with what is happening at our Centre. We also share centre highlights, special events, reminders for celebrations, excursions and fundraising events. Once families are enrolled access to the closed page can be requested.
