The road will be temporarily closed from Wyndham Street to Murray Street with a detour in place.
Weather permitting, it is anticipated that excavation will commence on 30 April from 7am to 7pm, with all works to be completed that day.
The works will involve stabilisation and the construction of new pavement and seal.
The closure of Broken River Drive will still allow local residents living in the area to access their properties.
