A Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 25 November 2025 at 3:00pm. The meeting will be held in the Council Boardroom, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.

The meeting will be open to members of the public to attend. A live stream of the meetings will also be made available, and can be accessed via Facebook and YouTube.

All care is taken to maintain your privacy; however, as a visitor in the public gallery, it is assumed that your consent is given in the event that your image is broadcast to the public. It is also assumed that your consent is given to the use and disclosure of any information that you share at the meeting (including personal or sensitive information) to any person who access those recordings or Minutes.

The Shepparton Springnats will be held at the Shepparton Showgrounds from Friday, 28 to Sunday, 30 November with the Street Cruise and Display taking place on the Saturday afternoon (29 November 2025). 

The Street Cruise and Display will depart from the Showgrounds at 3:15pm, vehicles will hold a static display in Fryers Street and Maude Street and return to the Showgrounds from 4:15pm. 

Car parks in this area will begin to be blocked from 12:30pm Saturday afternoon in:

• Fryers Street from Corio Street to Maude Street
• Maude Street from Fryers to Edwards Street 
• Edwards Street from Corio Street to Maude Street

In order for vehicles to travel safely to the Street Parade location, a rolling road closure will be required on the following roads and will be operating for approximately 2 hours to facilitate the parade and static display in the following locations:

• Fryers Street from the Showgrounds to Maude Street
• Corio Street from Fryers Street to Edward Street
• Edwards Street from Maude Street to Corio Street

Please ensure that you follow traffic coordinator instructions if you need to leave your property on these roads during this time.

Greater Shepparton City Council would like to advise of the following traffic changes for the Tatura Market event on Saturday, 29 November.
 
For the safety of road users and pedestrians, Francis Street (Stuart Mock Place) will be closed between Hogan and Casey Streets from 6.00am and re-open at 2.30pm on Saturday, 29 November.

The land affected by the application is located at 13 Ackers Court, Shepparton East. VIC 3631 (Lot 5 PS533041N).

The proposal is for the Variation to Covenant AE806987W (to amend Clause (c) relating to the size 200sqm outbuilding to allow a 240sqm outbuilding & change the height of the outbuilding from 5m to allow a height of 6m) & variation to the building & effluent plans on Covenant PS533041N.

The application reference number is; 2025-224.

The application and any supporting documents can be viewed on the Greater Shepparton City Council’s website. 

Any person who may be affected by the granting of the permit may object or make other submissions to Greater Shepparton City Council via Council’s website.  Objections must be in writing via Council’s website and must state the reasons for the objection and how you would be affected by the granting of a permit for the application.

Greater Shepparton City Council will not decide on the application before Monday, 8 December 2025.

If you object, the Responsible Authority will notify you of its decision.

Please be aware that in accordance with Part 4, Section 57(5) of the Planning and Environment Act 1987 the Responsible Authority must make a copy of every objection (including personal information of the objector) available for public inspection at its office during office hours free of charge until the end of the period for which an application may be made for review of a decision on the application.

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C198gshe to the Greater Shepparton Planning Scheme.

The Amendment came into operation on the date the notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette, being 23 October 2025.

The Amendment rezones 13.45 hectares of land located at 100 Ryans Road, Dookie being Lot 2 on PS712899 and all the land on Certificate of Title Volume 11572 Folio 135X currently zoned Farming Zone to Low Density Residential Zone to facilitate the development of the site for low density residential purposes

The Amendment came into operation on the date the notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette, being 22 August 2025.

The Amendment rezones 4.1 hectares of land located at 294 McLennan Street, Mooroopna being Lot 1 on PS649091 currently zoned Farming Zone to the Neighbourhood Residential Zone to facilitate residential development within part of the Mooroopna West Growth Corridor.
