Council Meeting - 16 December 2025

A Council Meeting will be held on Tuesday 16 December 2025 at 3:00pmThe meeting will be held in the Council Boardroom, 90 Welsford Street, Shepparton.

The meeting will be open to members of the public to attend. A live stream of the meetings will also be made available, and can be accessed via Facebook and YouTube.

All care is taken to maintain your privacy; however, as a visitor in the public gallery, it is assumed that your consent is given in the event that your image is broadcast to the public. It is also assumed that your consent is given to the use and disclosure of any information that you share at the meeting (including personal or sensitive information) to any person who access those recordings or Minutes.

The agenda, minutes and recording of the meeting will be uploaded to Councils website.

NOTIFICATION OF ROAD CLOSURE – INTERNATIONAL DAIRY WEEK 2026

Tatura Park Exhibition and Equestrian Complex will again play host to International Dairy Week in January 2026 – the largest dairy event in the Southern Hemisphere.

The event will run from Saturday 17 January through to Thursday 22 January 2026.

Hastie Street will be closed to all traffic between Service Street and Davy Street from 6.00am on Friday 16 January until 12.00 noon on Friday, 23 January 2026.

Service Street will be closed between Brown Street and Hastie Street for the same period of time, with access by local traffic only.

Council apologises for any inconvenience caused as a result of the road closures.

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C198gshe to the Greater Shepparton Planning Scheme.

The Amendment came into operation on the date the notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette, being 23 October 2025.

The Amendment rezones 13.45 hectares of land located at 100 Ryans Road, Dookie being Lot 2 on PS712899 and all the land on Certificate of Title Volume 11572 Folio 135X currently zoned Farming Zone to Low Density Residential Zone to facilitate the development of the site for low density residential purposes

The Minister for Planning has approved Amendment C243gshe to the Greater Shepparton Planning Scheme.

The Amendment came into operation on the date the notice was published in the Victoria Government Gazette, being 22 August 2025.

The Amendment rezones 4.1 hectares of land located at 294 McLennan Street, Mooroopna being Lot 1 on PS649091 currently zoned Farming Zone to the Neighbourhood Residential Zone to facilitate residential development within part of the Mooroopna West Growth Corridor.
