Southdown Street to be closed temporarily

Greater Shepparton City Council will be closing Southdown Street in north Shepparton temporarily to through traffic from Tuesday 3 October.

The temporary road closure is the result of a petition to reduce dust until the road can be upgraded from an unsealed to a sealed road. Access to properties that back onto the road will not be affected. Once the road is sealed it will then be re-opened.

It is expected that the road will be upgraded to a fully sealed road in the coming years due to proposed land development on the west side of Southdown Street.

Enquiries can be directed to Council’s Project Department on phone (03) 5832 9700.
