Shepparton Australia Day Committee

Local community events are integral to the success of Australia Day. Greater Shepparton City Council is seeking community members who would like to participate in the coordination of the annual Shepparton Australia Day Celebration.

Help shape Australia Day in Shepparton

Council is now seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic and committed community members to join the Shepparton Australia Day Volunteer Committee, with expressions of interest closing on 7 September 2020.

The Australia Day celebration in Shepparton brings people from right around the region together to celebrate the many great things our region is famous for.

The positions will run for a two year term through 2021 and 2022, and include meeting during the summer months to plan the Australia Day celebrations. Planning for the event may be a little different this year, with COVID-19 restrictions to be monitored and catered for.

The Shepparton Australia Day event objectives are to celebrate the achievements of our community through the Australia Day Awards, welcome new Australians with a Citizenship Ceremony and provide a free inclusive family friendly event that celebrates the diversity of our community.
