Anzac Day local services 2017 - Lest We Forget

Anzac Day is one of Australia's most important national commemorative occasions. It marks the anniversary of the first major military action fought by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War.

  • 5.45am Assemble at the Victoria Hotel, Cr: Wyndham & Fryers Sts, Shepparton
  • 5.50am Form Up and March Departs
  • 6.00am Dawn Service at Memorial Park - Welsford Street
  • 6.30am Conclusion of Service

Private breakfast at the Shepparton RSL for all RSL Service members. Proof of eligibility may be requested. The venue will be open to the public from 9am.


  • 10.20am Congregate in Car Park of Shepparton RSL
  • 10.20am Coach for those unable to march departs RSL
  • (Assemble at Wyndham St entrance)
  • 10.40am Parade departs RSL for Memorial Park
  • Via Knight - Wyndham - Fryers & Welsford Streets
  • 11.00am Service commences
  • 11.45am Conclusion of Service

Although seating will be provided for the Veterans, we would ask the members of the general public to please bring their own chairs.


A light lunch will be available in the ‘Lone Pine’ Function Room. Donation - $5. All proceeds to support Goulburn Valley Veteran Services. Digger’s Bistro will be open for normal luncheon trade. TWO UP will be played at the rear of the club between 1.30 and 5pm.

Dookie Anzac Day Service

  • 10.55am, march off from Cr Williamson and Baldock Streets 
  • 11:00am Service at War Memorial Garden, Dookie

Tatura Anzac Day Service

  • 5.30am, Assemby for the Dawn Service;  Mactier Memorial Gardens, Hogan Street and Flanagan Place
  • 9.30am: Two plaques commemorating the Boer and Korean Wars to be enveiled; Mactier Memorial Gardens, Hogan Street and Flanagan Place
  • 10.30am, Parade from Victory Hall.  
  • 11:00am, Service - Robert Mactier Memorial Gardens, Hogan Street
