Pilates is a form of corrective exercise. Pilates uses principles that involve understanding the deep muscles that isolate the core trunk muscles in correct postural alignment while performing specific exercises. Pilates can be very useful for people with low back or neck pain, poor posture, sports injuries, arthritis, muscle weakness, reduced fitness levels, poor balance, and for pregnant or post-natal women. Utilising spring-loaded ‘Reformer’ machines and fit balls these classes are designed to help you achieve a strong lean physique without building bulk or stressing your joints.
