Riverlinks in conjunction with Shepparton Art Museum are offering local artists and community groups an opportunity to showcase their work in the foyer at Riverlinks Eastbank.
The current exhibition, Meeting Place: Art From Many Lands, Lives & Cultures, has been curated by Multicultural Arts Victoria. The exhibition features the work of 12 artists from First Peoples and culturally diverse communities living in and around Shepparton.
The exhibition includes photography, paintings, fashion and drawings that speak of lands, lives and cultures all the way from Yorta Yorta country to the far reaches of Afghanistan and runs for six weeks from 5 April– 14 May.
The exhibitions are located in the downstairs foyer and aim to support local artists, providing them with a public space to display their work. Riverlinks Eastbank attracts around 75,000 attendees each year to a wide variety of functions and performing arts events, ensuring that the exhibitions are widely viewed.
Artists or groups who are interested in showcasing their work should contact Ken Cameron, Manager Performing Arts and Conventions at Riverlinks, by email manager@riverlinksvenues.com.au or via phone on (03) 5832 9865.
For more information, including guidelines, application form and plan of available wall space, please visit the Riverlinks website.
Due to limitations of the space, only paintings or works that can by hung can be included in exhibitions.
