Mission

The Salvation Army Shepparton-Mooroopna is a Christian movement dedicated to sharing the love of Jesus. We share the love of Jesus by:

Human Dignity, Justice, Hope, Compassion, Community.

To assist in carrying out our mission to a broken and hurting community.

Community Meal – Wednesday within school term
Light cleaning duties, assistance with meal preparation, room set up and pack down, serving of meal, front of house duties
Community Services & Doorways Program (Salvocare).
Serving tea and coffee to clients, cleaning, administrative tasks, putting food parcels together
Homeless night shelter (Runs during winter months)
Preparing and serving meals, making and packing up of beds, bus driving
Grounds & Maintenance
Weeding, mowing of lawns at the Nixon & Orr St Property
Playgroup
Assisting with running the Thursday Program 10-11:30am
Mooroopna Thrift Shop – Tues, Thurs & Sat 10-4pm
Light cleaning duties, sorting of clothes, serving customers, hanging of clothes within the shop, moving of furniture, making shop displays, emptying of charity bin.
Christmas Toy Distribution Centre
Sorting donations, picking up donations, light cleaning duties, assisting clients to gifts
Community Christmas Meal – Christmas Day
Cleaning, Meal preparation, room set up and pack down, serving of meal, front of house duties
Fundraising – Shepparton & Mooroopna Areas
Red Shield Appeal (May), Christmas Appeal (Dec), Food & Blanket drives, BBQ Fundraisers
