Volunteer Purpose
Volunteers are needed to assist in a variety of ways to help fulfil the purposes of African House, the most important of which is to build supportive and positive relationships with African people.
Volunteer Opportunities
Can you sew? Could you assist African adults to read English? Do you have IT skills? Would you care for children while parents learn? Do you enjoy gardening or cleaning? Can you cook? Can you teach? Do you have an interest in planning for and helping at events?
We are seeking expressions of interest from enthusiastic, caring and culturally sensitive volunteers of any age group or culture. If you have an interest in supporting African people or in helping to maintain the clean, fresh and comfortable environment in African House and its surrounds, please contact us.
We encourage you to bring all your ideas and skills to the table. You may have ideas that we have never considered before or the very skills that we have been searching for. You may be the person we need.
All volunteers are required to undertake an approval process including reference checks. Volunteers are also required to have a Working with Children Check
