ConnectGV

Mission

ConnectGV’s mission is to continuously develop, co-ordinate and strengthen service options which connect people with disabilities to their local community.

Purpose

ConnectGV provide individualised options for local people with a disability and their families to ensure their goals and dreams can be achieved. The organisation has grown and evolved over the years to be the largest disability service within the Goulburn Valley that offers Day Options, Employment Options, Accommodation Options and Outreach Services. ConnectGV's vision is for a fully inclusive community and to that end it seeks partnerships that allow it to offer many of these options within the local community.

ConnectGV also owns and operates a number of Social Enterprises, namely Billabong Garden Complex, Billabong Sweets and Treats, Flower Power flower deliveries and the management of the canteen at Mooroopna Primary School. These businesses not only provide quality products and services to the local community, they provide valuable paid employment and training options for people with a disability.

Volunteer Purpose

Volunteers provide support to ConnectGV staff within the various programs or at events. Volunteers assist with the planned activities or may be invited to host an activity if they have a special talent that they would like to share, for example this may be in the areas of music, art, craft or sport among others.

Volunteer opportunities

ConnectGV welcomes the support of volunteers across the various areas of our organisation; including individual supports, employment, residential, Billabong Nursery and more. Volunteers may have a particular area of expertise or talent that they would like to share with clients with a disability, or simply have some spare time to assist in programs or with particular events.

ConnectGV would like to hear from individuals who may be able to volunteer on a regular or ad-hoc basis, or from community minded businesses that have a corporate volunteer program.

Coordination Of Volunteers

A registration of interest to volunteer form can be obtained by calling 5821 2466 or by registering online.
