Talent Show

The Talent Show at Winter City Market 2025 was more than just a stage – it was a platform for young people to be seen, heard and celebrated, and it was a wonderful celebration of creativity, diversity and community spirit.

Young people from across Greater Shepparton took to the stage to showcase their talents – from music to dance performances that wowed the crowd.

One of the most inspiring aspects of the event was the diversity of participants. Performers came from a wide range of cultural backgrounds and abilities, making the show a truly inclusive platform for self-expression.

The Amplify Youth Committee played a key role in making the event a success. Members stepped into leadership positions as judges, MCs and backstage support, helping performers prepare, managing consent forms and ensuring everything run smoothly. This hands-on experience gave young people the chance to develop valuable skills in public speaking, decision-making and event coordination.

“Being an MC was nerve-wracking at first, but I ended up loving it. It was very useful for me to practice public speaking!”
– Guneet, Amplify Youth Committee member.

“Helping backstage made me realise how much work goes into events. I’d love to do more of this in the future.”
– Izaan, Amplify Youth Committee member.

Families and community members who attended expressed their appreciation for a positive and supportive event that celebrated young people’s creativity and confidence.
