Converge on the Goulburn 2025
The Converge on the Goulburn Festival is back in 2025! This family friendly event provides an opportunity for cross-cultural sharing, connection for the community, and celebrating all that is great about our region!

Held at the stunning Victoria Park Lake precinct in Shepparton, this daytime event will feature music and dance, authentic cultural and culinary delights, and interactive activities and workshop for all ages.
Converge on the Goulburn is proudly presented by Greater Shepparton City Council and is part of the Shepparton Festival.
This is a free, fun, family event. There will be no consumption of alcohol within the event facility.
An array of free activities and workshops will be available on the day.
Aboriginal art workshop with Yorta Yorta artist, Tammy-Lee Atkinson
- Suitable for all ages. Under 10s must be accompanied by a parent / guardian.

Flower-crown workshop with local artist, Marli Kelly

Art workshop, learn to paint with local artist, Lehansa Samaranayake

Stand Up Paddle Boarding on the lake
- $10 for 45 minutes
- Located at the Shepparton Canoe Club, approximately 800m from main event site. Ample parking nearby.
- All ages are welcome. No experience needed – just the ability to swim confidently. Individuals 8 and under must be accompanied by an adult.

Accessibility and further details:
- The event site at the Victoria Park Lake open grass area has sealed path access around the outside of the event site. The remainder of the surfaces are grass. Marquees and food trucks will surround the outside of event site and will be on the grass in front of the sealed paths. There will not be sealed path access to food vendors / marquees.
- There will be an elevated, accessible viewing platform for people with disabilities and their families / friends / carers. This platform is accessible from the north of the toilet block. The platform has ramps, handrails, lighting, and a marquee for shade.
- There will be lots of traffic on Wyndham and Sobraon Streets and the event site is not fenced. There will be many people during the event, some animals on leads, live music and dance performances on two stages, emergency service vehicles, and activities for kids. Victoria Park Lake is a large area and there will be spaces that offer less noise onsite, as well as a designated ‘chill out zone’.
- Onsite there is an all accessible, all gender bathroom. In addition, there are male and female toilets in the toilet block.
- First aid will be available on site and is located north of the toilet block.
- Animals on leads or restrained are welcome at this event. Pet owners are responsible for supervising and cleaning up after their animals.
- There will be lots of tables and chairs provided near the food trucks as well as some umbrellas providing shade. You can also bring a picnic rug and chairs to sit on and enjoy the day.
- Weather - this event will be held in all weather conditions. If extreme weather is predicted, notification will be made in the week leading up to the event.
- There will be Council event staff on site who will be wearing high-vis vests and long-sleeve black Council shirts. If you need any assistance during the event, please contact a Council staff member or a security guard and we will be happy to help.
