International Day of People with Disability 2024
Celebrate International Day of People with Disability 2024 with us! International Day of People with Disability is a United Nations sanctioned day, celebrated annually on 3 December around the World. The Day aims to increase public awareness, understanding and acceptance of people with disabilities.

Greater Shepparton City Council is proud to once again host the International Day of People with Disability Concert featuring Gerry's Well Oiled Machine. Gerry’s Well Oiled Machine is a disability-led band with a commitment to spreading disability awareness through their music. As part of the concert, participants from local disability agencies will perform a song they have written with Gerry and his crew.
Bookings are capped at 150 people. Get in quick so you don’t miss out! Tickets will not be sold at the door on the day of the concert.
Time: 12.30pm – 2.00pm
Venue: Main Soccer Pavilion – Sports City, Packham Street, Shepparton
Cost: $5

Council will launch the 'Promoting Greater Access in Greater Shepparton' access guide to mark International Day of People with Disability. The access guide is an action of the Greater Shepparton Universal Access and Inclusion Plan and will provide local businesses and community groups with simple advice, resources and tips as to how to increase accessibility for all within their business or event. All events are actions of the Greater Shepparton Universal Access and Inclusion Plan, are supported by the Greater Shepparton Disability Advisory Committee and are aimed at celebrating the achievements and contributions of people with disabilities.
