Accessibility and further details:

  • The event site at the Queens Gardens in Shepparton has sealed path access around the outside of the event site and inside the gardens. The remainder of the surfaces are grass. Food vendors will be on Nixon St which will be half-closed. The food vendors will be accessible by sealed paths and road.
  • There will be an elevated, accessible viewing platform for people who use wheelchairs/mobility aids and their families/friends/carers. This platform will be at the south side of the gardens.
  • There will be lots of traffic on Wyndham and Welsford Streets and the event site is not fenced. There will be many people during the event, some animals on leads, and live music and dance performances on the main stage. This is a popular event, and it is likely that the gardens will be crowded.
  • On site there is one accessible and all gender bathroom in the toilet block at the west side of the gardens. In addition, there is one female toilet and one male toilet in the same toilet block. There will be portable toilets located on the south side of the gardens which are for all genders.
  • First aid will be available on site and is located at the western side of the gardens.
  • Animals on leads are welcome at this event. Pet owners are responsible for supervising and cleaning up after their animals.
  • There is very limited seating available in the gardens, so we recommend bringing a picnic rug and chairs to sit on to enjoy the evening.
  • Weather - this event will be held in all weather conditions. If extreme wet weather is predicted, the event will be moved to the Shepparton Showgrounds and a notification will be made in the week leading up to the event.
  • There will be Council event staff on site who will be wearing high-vis vests and long-sleeve black Council shirts. If you need any assistance during the event, please contact a Council staff member or a security guard and we will be happy to help.
