Greater Shepparton City Council, in association with the Greater Shepparton Heritage Advisory Committee, is excited to present the 2025 Greater Shepparton Cultural Heritage Awards at a ceremony this Saturday 10 May 2025.
In Summary
The ceremony, commencing at 2pm at the GV Hotel in Shepparton, is open to the public to attend to recognise the outstanding contributions to cultural heritage conservation, research, education, promotion, interpretation, training and awareness-raising across the municipality.
Nominations for the 2025 awards were open late last year, with an independent judging panel assessing each of the nominations received. The winners will be announced and honoured with an award at the Cultural Heritage Awards ceremony next week, with awards to be presented for the categories of:
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali, said the quality of nominations received this year was exceptional, highlighting community members’ contributions towards the preservation of our region’s cultural heritage.
“Our cultural heritage is about more than maintaining buildings. It is about conserving our unique identity, ensuring our children can learn about their history and helping us build from the past to make a better future for all,” he said.
“We would love for people to attend the awards ceremony and celebrate those who have contributed towards our region’s heritage.”
