WORKS UPDATE: Accessible parking bays increased at Eastbank

Greater Shepparton City Council has installed two more designated accessible parking bays (DAPB) in the Marungi Street Carpark behind Riverlinks and Council offices.

The bays provide the general public with access Eastbank for functions and shows such as Afternoon Delights. The bays will be timed, therefore parking in these bays all day will not be permitted.

The existing two DAPBs in the Marungi Street car park will remain for Council staff who hold a Disability Parking Permit. There are four extra DAPBs located across the pedestrian crossing in the large Marungi Street car park opposite the library and a DAPB out the front of the library along with an accessible drinking fountain which was an initiative of Council’s Disability Advisory Committee.

Greater Shepparton City Council’s Access and Inclusion Officer Louise Dwyer said Council was responding to community feedback via Council’s Disability Advisory Committee.
