As part of the Council’s Activities in the Park program we have a number of Free and Low Cost activities on offer all throughout the Greater Shepparton Community
The Activities in the Park Program is proudly presented by the Greater Shepparton City Council and this year is supported through VicHealth’s Active Arts program.
The sessions are all delivered by local facilitators including Sports Clubs, Businesses, Community Groups and State Sporting Associations

Individual Activity Profiles:
Active Kids – Tennis (ValleySport): Join Undera Tennis Club and Valley Sport for a FREE one hour junior coaching clinic. The session will be delivered by a Tennis Australia qualified coach and all equipment is provided. Registrations essential - book your spot today . FREE ACTIVITY, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Active Kids – Netball (ValleySport): Join Netball Victoria and Valley Sport for a FREE one hour junior coaching clinic. The session will include skills and games catering for players aged 10-15years. Place are limited, book your spot today FREE ACTIVITY, REGISTRATIONS REQUIRED
Active Kids – Golf (ValleySport): Free Junior Golf Clinic delivered by Merrigum Golf Club in partnership with Valley Sport. FREE ACTIVITY
Active at School (Active @ School Program): Join Active@School instructors for a fun filled 60 minute activity session. This session is aimed at primary school aged children and will incorporate a mixture of fun and inclusive physical activities. FREE ACTIVITY
African Drumming (African Drumming Australia): Join the team from African Drumming for 90 minutes of interactive drumming, singing and dancing. Work on creating a traditional African percussion ensemble using Djembe drums, a range of bass drums and lots of shakers.
Casual Hooping (Enchanted Rainbow): Join Enchanted Rainbow and learn the art of hooping! Learn how to size, spin and dance with hoops. FREE ACTIVITY
Circus Skills (Enchanted Rainbow): Join Enchanted Rainbow for a variety of circus themed activities. Learn plate spinning, stilts, juggling, poi and much more. FREE ACTIVITY
Free Function Fitness (Get Active Shepparton): Join Get Active Shepparton for free, fun and family friendly training sessions. Outdoor fitness sessions suitable for all ages and abilities. FREE ACTIVITY
Kelly Sports: Why should all the big kids have the fun? Delivered by expert coaches in a safe and fun environment, mini sports allow children to discover sport while developing their fundamental motor skills, confidence and social skills. The 10 am session is suited Sessions are suited to 1 to 5 years olds. The 11am session targets 6 – 12 year olds. FREE ACTIVITY
Kids Get Active in April: This is a fun event helping kids get active and learning about fresh fruit and fitness. FREE ACTIVITY
Kite Making (Council): This fun and creative kite making workshop will see you colour in your own kite and have fun flying it. FREE ACTIVITY
Munzee: Munzee is the next generation in global scavenger hunt games. Track down QR codes hidden in the real world and capture them for points. Whether you are a casual player, an avid explorer, or a hard-core competition enthusiast, Munzee helps you rediscover the world around you. FREE ACTIVITY
Orienteering (Start Outdoors): Come along as a family and enjoy the outdoors while practicing your map reading skills. No prior experience is required - just a sense of adventure. FREE ACTIVITY

Pedal Karts (It’s Party Time Jumping Castles): Human powered go karting in the massive 18m x 10m inflatable race track! These amazing go karts are simply one means to experience the adrenalin rush associated with racing. Karts cater for kids 3- 12 years FREE ACTIVITY
Pedometer Challenge (Council): Get a team of 4-6 together or register as an individual for the Pedometer Challenge and track you daily steps over a 4 week period. Registrations close Wednesday 21 March 2018. Register now! FREE ACTIVITY, REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Pop up Paddling (Paddlehub): Canoeing Victoria's Paddle Hub offers activities for families looking to experience paddling for the first time or to further develop your paddling skills. Secure your spot and pre book now! FREE ACTIVITY, REGISTRATION REQUIRED
Star Gazing (Bendigo Astronomical Society): Join the Bendigo Astronomical Society Members and explore the beauty of the stars, planets and nebulae through their large telescopes. This is a great night out for the whole family and will give you the chance to view the moon, Saturn and Venus depending on what night you come along! FREE ACTIVITY
Spotlight Walk (RiverConnect): A new addition to RiverConnect's Activities in the Park schedule, enjoy a meditative labyrinth surrounded by River Red Gums and Silver Wattles at Stewart's Reserve. Take some time for you and improve your wellbeing by spending time outdoors, hosted by Dr Lisa Shortridge. FREE ACTIVITY
Yoga Sessions and Wellness (With One Breath Yoga): Each class is made up of 45 minutes of yoga and 10 minutes of relaxation followed by a health education talk with discussion topics of immune health, detoxification, study and memory enhancement and food basics.
Yoga (Smith Performance Solution): Join Rachel Smith for 45 minutes of gentle yoga in the beautiful Meteorite Gardens in Murchison. FREE ACTIVITY
