Friday 5th of June, 2026,
Greater Shepparton City Council, through its Amplify Youth Committee, is launching Amplify Creative Hub, a free youth-led program open to all young people aged 12 to 25 who are interested in music, arts and building creative skills.
The Amplify Creative Hub pilot will launch on Saturday 20 June 2026 from 12pm to 4pm at Shepparton Library. The free event is open to all young people aged 12 to 25, with no experience needed.
The program will run monthly from June to November on the third Saturday of each month.
Delivered by Council’s Amplify Youth Committee, with support from Goulburn Valley Libraries and the Victorian Government, The Amplify Creative Hub will provide a safe and inclusive space for young people to connect, collaborate, learn new skills and explore creative career pathways.
The launch session will focus on music, giving young people the chance to explore DJing, songwriting and lyric writing, freestyle and rap and music industry basics.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said Amplify Creative Hub would give young people a valuable space to express themselves and connect with others.
“Amplify Creative Hub is about giving young people a place where they can try something new, build confidence and connect with others who share their interests,” he said.
“It is exciting to see Council’s Amplify Youth Committee leading a program that supports creativity, skill development and stronger social connection for young people across Greater Shepparton.”
Council’s Director Healthy Communities and Liveability, Briana Baass, said the program had been shaped around the interests and ideas of young people.
“This is a youth-led program designed to give young people practical opportunities to explore creative industries in a welcoming and supportive environment,” she said.
“Each month will feature a different theme, giving participants the chance to build skills across areas such as music, digital arts, photography, DJing, music production, multimedia, songwriting and more.”
Amplify Youth Committee member Isabella Lemma said being involved in developing Amplify Creative Hub had been a rewarding and exciting experience.
“As young people, we wanted to help create something that feels welcoming, practical and fun for others our age,” she said.
“It has been exciting to see Amplify Creative Hub take shape from our ideas into a program that gives young people the chance to explore their creativity, learn new skills and connect with people who share similar interests.”
Amplify Creative Hub sessions will be held on Saturday 20 June, Saturday 18 July, Saturday 15 August, Saturday 19 September, Saturday 17 October and Saturday 21 November 2026.
