Aquamoves has been selected as a finalist in the Tourist Attraction of the Year category in the 2014 Powercor Australia 3SR FM Business Awards.
The ceremony which is held annually recognises and honours outstanding business contributions within the Greater Shepparton Community.
Aquamoves Assistant Manager Sarah Lewis says the nomination acknowledges staff commitment to providing a comprehensive leisure, health and wellbeing experience.
“We are thrilled to have been nominated in this category for the first time. Everyone has worked hard to ensure we’re offering the community with the best service and facilities possible” she said.
“There is nowhere else like Aquamoves in the Goulburn Valley and we are proud to bring our unique facility to locals and visitors alike.”
The Aquamoves complex offers a wide variety of leisure and fitness options, including a spacious gymnasium, large suite of group fitness classes, indoor and outdoor aquatic facilities, as well as specialised programs offering support in the areas of health, fitness and nutrition.
“Our state-of-the-art Splash Park is a major drawcard during the summer season, creating a water wonderland for kids and the big kids at heart. Adding to this our modern BBQ areas and spacious grounds overlooking picturesque Victoria Park Lake, makes Aquamoves the perfect place for the whole family to spend the day together” Sarah said.
“The nomination is recognition that we are listening to the feedback from the community and are working in the right direction. We will continue to improve and expand upon our facilities and services.”
Nominations for the Business Awards close on Wednesday 17 September, with the overall winner in each category being announced at a Gala dinner held at the GV Hotel on Friday 31 October.
