Bringing Comfort and Connection: Become a Volunteer with the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme

What is the Aged Care Volunteer Visitors Scheme (ACVVS)?

The ACVVS is an initiative designed to create valuable connections between caring volunteers and older individuals who could use a bit more companionship in their lives. This program, provided by Elder Rights Advocacy, offers various avenues of interaction, including face-to-face visits, emails, letters, video chats, and phone calls. These simple acts of reaching out can mean the world to someone who might be feeling a bit lonely or isolated.

Who can volunteer?

If you live across Victoria, can commit to one visit or contact (phone or letter) per fortnight, and are looking for a way to make a positive impact on your community, volunteering with the ACVVS could be the perfect fit for you.
