Held from Monday 3 August 2026 to Friday 21 August 2026, this year’s festival recorded almost 600 attendances across 22 events, bringing together business owners, entrepreneurs, professionals, presenters, business support organisations and community partners from across the region.
The program covered a wide range of practical business topics, including AI, marketing, tenders, tax, cyber security, leadership, workforce development, multicultural employment, trade business support, iPhone photography, business automation and growth.
A highlight of the festival was the headline keynote from Tom Potter, founder of Eagle Boys Pizza, who shared his business journey and lessons in resilience, leadership, growth and adapting through change.
Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said the strong participation reflected the value of providing practical, accessible support for the local business community.
“The Greater Shepparton Business Festival continues to be an important opportunity for local businesses to step away from the day-to-day, build new skills and connect with others,” he said.
“This year’s program offered a strong mix of practical sessions that responded to the needs of local businesses, from emerging technology and marketing through to workforce, leadership and business growth.
“It was fantastic to see hundreds of people take part across the three weeks, showing the strength, ambition and resilience of Greater Shepparton’s business community.”
Council’s Economic Development Engagement Coordinator, Karen Mellington said the festival’s success was a credit to the presenters, supporters and participants who helped bring the program to life.
“A lot of work went into shaping this year’s program around topics that are practical, relevant and useful for local businesses,” she said.
“We are grateful to the presenters, business support organisations and community partners who shared their knowledge, resources and advice throughout the festival.
“We also thank every business owner, team member, entrepreneur and professional who took the time to attend, ask questions, make connections and take new ideas back into their workplace.”
