Changes to management of aged care services

Two new providers will deliver aged care services currently provided by Greater Shepparton City Council from July 2022.

The two aged care service providers have been appointed by the Australian Government.

  • Community Accessability will provide delivered meals from 18 July 2022.
  • Calvary Community Care will provide the home modifications, access and support at home, and social connection programs from 1 July 2022.

Current services will be delivered by Greater Shepparton City Council until the above dates.

Council is working closely with Community Accessability and Calvary Community Care to help ensure the services transition to new arrangements smoothly, and is working with clients and stakeholders throughout the transition.

Greater Shepparton City Council Director Community, Louise Mitchell, said aged care services will continue without interruption while the changes are taking place.

“Council is working closely with clients and stakeholders to help make sure the transition to new service arrangements proceeds smoothly’ she said. “Council has dedicated staff in place to work with every client currently receiving our services, so that they have all the information and support they need in the coming months”.

All clients of the services have been contacted regarding the upcoming changes. Client and family enquiries can be directed to Council’s aged care team on (03) 5832 9785 or by email council@shepparton.vic.gov.au.
