Greater Shepparton City Council, in partnership with Victoria Police Shepparton Proactive Unit, Baby Bunting Shepparton, Early Learning Association Australia and Road Safe Goulburn Valley, is inviting the community back to the popular Coffee with a Cop & Car Seat Checks event prior to the end of 2024.
In Summary
Following the success of last year’s initiative, families are invited to join us at Baby Bunting at Riverside Plaza on Tuesday 17 December 2024, between 9.30am and 2.00pm, for this important community event.
Providing a valuable opportunity for parents and caregivers, this event helps to ensure their child car restraints or car seats are correctly installed by fully qualified professionals, promoting safety and peace of mind.
Attendees will also have the chance to chat with local police officers in a relaxed setting, seek advice on car and booster seats, or learn about seatbelt readiness for their children. Information on road safety will also be available along with free activities to keep kids entertained while parents focus on important safety checks.
Council Director Community, Louise Mitchell, highlighted the importance of an event like this to ensure children are safe when driving.
“Ensuring child car seats are properly installed is crucial for the safety of our community. This is a fantastic opportunity to ask questions and have your set up looked at by a professional,” she said.
“It is wonderful to see the community coming together to prioritise the wellbeing of our youngest passengers.”
Spaces for the car seat checks are limited, so bookings are essential. Secure your spot today by visiting TryBooking.
