Greater Shepparton City Council’s 2nd Community Leadership Program is nearing completion, with four projects to be launched in the coming weeks.
The program aims to develop active and engaged community members within the Greater Shepparton municipality who wish to increase their leadership potential and influence within the community.
Participants are paired with a mentor and attend fortnightly seminars covering topics including leadership, understanding self and others, communication skills and advocacy, public speaking and working with the media, grant seeking and submission writing and networking and creating partnerships. Program participants form groups and work together on a community project for the duration of the program.
