The program aims to develop active and engaged community members within the Greater Shepparton municipality who wish to increase their leadership potential and influence within the community.
Participants are paired with a mentor and attend fortnightly seminars covering topics including leadership, understanding self and others, communication skills and advocacy, public speaking and working with the media, grant seeking and submission writing and networking and creating partnerships. Program participants form groups and work together on a community project for the duration of the program.

Job ready resource
A wallet sized job ready resource has been developed to assist local young people find employment.
This resource will have a `one stop shop` approach and link to the person or department that will best provide the information needed. The resource will be a hard copy, preferably pocket size that can be distributed to community agencies that we have deemed suitable to promote its use and support our endeavour.

Multicultural film festival
The Shepparton Multicultural Film Festival will feature five films over three days and will be launched on Friday 23 October, Harder Auditorium at 6pm.
The film festival celebrates the regions strong cultural diversity, and it will bring together people and communities who share an interest in film culture. The film festival will aim to appeal to a range of audiences, including children, teens and young adults.
The festival will screen a selection of feature films and short films from Asia, Europe, Middle East and Australia. All have been screened at international film festivals and have received awards or critical acclaim. Some have been nominated for Academy Awards in recent years.

Anti-Litter wall art
A group of environmentally passionate participants of the Greater Shepparton City Council Community Leadership Program have come together with a positive anti-littering message #lovewhereyoulive aimed at raising awareness of anti-littering in the greater Shepparton region.
Collectively they have a vision of banding the community together to take ownership of where we live and creating clean living spaces for our residents and visitors.
The group have invited the public to submit artwork with an anti-littering message with the winning artwork being painted on the Coles wall on Maude and Vaughan Street. The painting will begin from 30 October.

Women’s Shed ‘How to’ guide
The group is compiling a ‘How To run a Women's Shed’ guide that will encompass data collected from a recent survey circulated through the community, an overview of running a shed and how to run activities specific to teaching new and/or strengthening existing skills for women. The guide will be completed in November.
