Community Leadership Program participants graduate

On Wednesday, 17 participants of this year’s Community Leadership Program officially graduated at the Carrington Hotel in Shepparton.

The Council run program is in its fourth year and has run from April to October 2017, seeing four projects delivered, including:

  1. Meet you at The Meeting Point – free, public outdoor bench located in the Mall with the use of free Wi-Fi.
  2. Can I Come too? The People’s Picnic – Bringing families together at a social gathering of the Greater Shepparton community. A family friendly event with entertainment, activities and food in the form of a picnic.
  3. Shepp Health “When being healthy-ish is not enough” – eye and dental health program aimed at school aged children in the community. To raise awareness in the community about the importance of eye and dental care as a prevention.
  4. Ask The Cows – story for children aged 5 - 12 years about the diverse communities living in Shepparton through the Moooving Art cows within the municipality.

Applications for the 2018 Community Leadership Program will open in the New Year.
