The first quarter of the annual Survey was scheduled to take place in October 2022, however was postponed due to the region being hit by floodwaters. With the clean-up and recovery taking some time, Council agreed to cover the missing quarter one surveys during the remaining three quarters of the financial year.
The Community Satisfaction Surveys will resume for quarter two on Monday 16 January and will conclude on Tuesday 31 January. The Surveys will be conducted by Computer Assisted Telephone Interviewing, with Greater Shepparton residents aged 18+ selected at random to take part. All responses are confidential and are grouped with others.
Research resource company Thinkfield will conduct the phone surveys which are a useful way for Council to understand whether it is meeting community expectations for the services it provides. Thinkfield will also be conducting face to face surveys across Greater Shepparton from Thursday 19 January to Tuesday 24 January.
“The surveys are a useful tool for Council to gather feedback directly from residents. The survey gathers impressions on the services, facilities and activities Council provides, and is great insight into the ways Council can improve its service delivery,” Director Corporate Services Chris Teitzel said.
“Residents can be assured that if they receive a phone call from Thinkfield or are approached by them in person it is legitimate and is being conducted on behalf of Council.
“I encourage anyone who is contacted by Thinkfield to take part in the survey and provide us with their honest opinion on Council’s performance and services. We look forward to seeing the results from the second quarter of 2022/2023.”
