Greater Shepparton City Council under delegated authority has awarded a total of $4,531.50 to three local community groups under the Community Arts Grants Round One 2021/2022.
St Georges Road Primary School, Goulburn Valley Quilters and Goulburn Valley Regional Library Corporation will each receive financial assistance for their individual arts projects after submitting successful applications.
The aim of the Community Arts Grant funding is to facilitate projects which achieve the following objectives:
Mayor Cr Kim O’Keeffe thanked each of the community groups who submitted an application for the grants program and congratulated those who were successful.
“It is extremely important that we support and promote the incredible arts and culture we have within our community,” she said.
“The Community Arts Grants aim to support and engage our locals by embracing cultural harmony and diversity, and encouraging participation across all sectors.
“Council are pleased to be able to offer financial assistance to these three community groups to assist them in bringing their ideas to life. The quality of each of the applications was extremely high and we have no doubt they will provide positive outcomes for the community.”
