In response to feedback from the community about the lack of shelter at the new taxi rank in Vaughan Central Greater Shepparton City Council is erecting a temporary shelter tomorrow morning to allow residents to be protected from the weather.
In response to feedback from the community about the lack of shelter at the new taxi rank in Vaughan Central Greater Shepparton City Council is erecting a temporary shelter this morning to allow residents to be protected from the weather.
Taxi passengers now have easier access to the rank once they have completed their shopping. Council has arranged a temporary shelter for the taxi rank until the next phase of the development of Maude Street Bus Interchange is completed.
The erected shelter has been re-located from Maude Street taxi rank to Vaughan Central.
Mayor Jenny Houlihan said “We understand the need for shelter was very important for the community who shop at local businesses in Vaughan Central, so we have acted quickly to ensure residents have some protection while waiting for a taxi”.
