Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to announce that Dookie and Shepparton have been selected as finalists for the 2024 TAC Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards.
Greater Shepparton City Council is excited to announce that Dookie and Shepparton have been selected as finalists for the 2024 TAC Victorian Top Tourism Town Awards.
Council encourages members of the community to participate in the final stage of the judging process, the public vote, which will open this Monday 3 June at 9am, and close on Monday 24 June 2024 at 5pm.
“We encourage community members to vote and invite their family and friends to vote too. Let’s help Dookie and Shepparton get over the line as state winners,” Mayor, Councillor Shane Sali said.
“We are very excited to shine a light on Dookie in the ‘Tiny Tourism Town’ category. This is the perfect opportunity to showcase the unique experiences hidden in this colourful town and to encourage visitors to spend more time exploring Dookie.
“This nomination is also an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of Shepparton as a tourist destination, to the rest of Victoria and to our own community. We know visitors are always surprised by what Shepparton has to offer and are keen to discover more. These curated itineraries will help to elevate Shepparton’s offerings.”
The Victorian winners will be announced on Thursday 25 July, and the state winners will have the opportunity to represent Victoria at the Australian Top Tourism Town Awards.
