Draft Mooroopna Community Plan out for feedback

The draft Mooroopna Community Plan has been released with Mooroopna residents encouraged to have their say.

The Mooroopna Community Plan was first developed in 2010. Over the past 5 years the Community Plan Steering Committee has worked tirelessly on planning projects, seeking funds and completing priorities and actions identified within the plan.

Some of the key achievements from the first five years of Community Planning in Mooroopna were receiving funds for a shelter at John Gray oval and for the multipurpose storage shed. The Committee have participated in the Master Plan development for Ferrari Park and McLennan Street and have supported the Mooroopna Historical Society to find a home.

Five years on, the Mooroopna Community Plan Steering Committee, in partnership with Council have conducted a full review of the Community Plan and consulted heavily with the community during May and June to determine what priorities were current for local residents.

A draft Mooroopna Community Plan 2015 has been developed from community feedback and includes 28 actions under the strategic areas of community, tourism, environment, business, assets and advocacy.

The Mooroopna community are invited to provide feedback on the draft Community Plan 2015. We would like to hear about key actions within the plan that you like as well as identifying anything that is missing from the plan. Community members are invited to provide feedback by 5.00pm 11 September 2015.
